Sessions, Fees, and Payments:  A standard therapy session is 50 minutes long. Sessions are usually held once or twice a week, based on your treatment needs and scheduling availability.  A charge of the full session is applied when appointments are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.  Missed sessions are not billable to insurance and will be charged unless other arrangements have been made.  Fees are structured as follows:

  • Individual, Family, or Couple Therapy: Initial Consultation $130

  • Individual Therapy: Ongoing Treatment $100

  • Extended Session: 1.5 hours $130

  • Group Therapy $50

** Full fee is required by the client at the time of service.

Insurance:  Please note that I do not participate on any insurance panels nor do I submit bills to insurance companies for my clients.  I do provide a written bill with all the information necessary for you, the client, to submit your bill to the insurance company.  Please call your insurance company for information on how to file a claim. I also prefer that your insurance pay you for reimbursement given that full fee is required at the time of service.

  • What you need to know: Before we meet, you’ll need to know whether your insurance plan reimburses for “out-of-network” providers.  If they do, you will still need to call to have services pre-authorized.  It is likely that you will have a larger deductible than if you were seeing an “in-network” provider.  Additionally your insurance company will likely reimburse at a lower rate (Example Scenario: An insurance company may agree to pay 60% of the “usual and customary rate” for an individual session, but only after you have met a $250 deductible.  Insurance companies create their own “usual and customary rates” and may only value my services at $80/hour (hypothetical).  This means that they will reimburse $48.00/session (60% of $80.00)).  Please note that regardless of your insurance’s reimbursement rate, you will be responsible for the full fee ($100.00).  Additionally, I am not responsible for unpaid insurance claims.
